This project forms part of an ongoing exploration into the spectrum of relations between constraint and abandon via a series of drawing performances. Fox constructed a prosthesis that augments, but also mediates, the relationship between Fox’s body and the paper. This body extension mediates the hand to paper relationship so there are multiple outcomes for drawing with the potential for generative processes. Paper is pinned to a wall and his body responds to this paper size by swinging and rotating the sculptural armature across the surface.
